It was great to see so many residents and neighbours come to the meeting last Thursday. The next meeting on the proposed Sport Complex will be 7pm this coming Monday at the Garnethill Multicultural Centre. The Community Council have been asked to help ascertain, co-ordinate and express to the local authorities the views of our Garnethill community; the Community Council can be contacted via email@example.com
We are all much more aware as to the full extent of this planned development by St.Aloysius College. The 4-storey sports complex being proposed is a very substantial development for Garnethill. From the planning application it will cost £4.427M and will change the current floor space of 377 (metres squared) by a proposed 2759 (metres squared). Whilst it is clear that the proposal has been in development for several years, it is also clear that only the minimum required consultation has been attempted.
See for yourself how the development will completely dominate the existing site:

There will be a full set of architects plans and some 3d artists impressions available for viewing at the meeting (provided courtesy of St.Aloysius College).
HOWEVER THERE ARE ONLY A FEW DAYS LEFT TO WRITE IN ANY OBJECTIONS AND SO IT IS VITAL YOU ATTEND THIS MEETING IF YOU HAVE ANY CONCERNS ABOUT THIS PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT.
The planning reference is “14/00487/DC” and must be used on all correspondence eg letters of objection. The address to use for letters of objection is:
