Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games – Letter to Garnethill Community Council

Monday 14th January saw the nationwide launch of the 2014 volunteering application website.

The City Council would like everyone in Glasgow to take part in the Games, and one great way to do so is to volunteer. Everyone has skills to offer that can be used to deliver this amazing event for the city, and skills developed in 2014 will lead to great things beyond for the city and those involved.

2014 Commonwealth Games Volunteering – Letter to Community Councils

Set out below are details of local support and information events, designed to ensure that local people have all the information they need to allow them to consider becoming a volunteer. Members of the public and community groups are invited to one of three local events, hosted by Glasgow City Council, Volunteer Glasgow and Glasgow 2014 Ltd to find out more, learn what support is available and get help with your application.

The events will take place:

Tuesday 29th January: Emirates Arena         1pm – 4pm
Thursday 31st January: Scotstoun Stadium  1pm – 4pm
Wednesday 6th February: Palace of Arts       1pm – 4pm

You are invited to send *TWO* representatives to the event nearest to you. Please note that the closing date for applications is 28th February.
